Moopie's work defies easy narratives. On any given day, you might find him hammering out all manner of dance tracks at clubs and festivals around the world, or running A&R for his wide-reaching indie, folk and experimental music label A Colourful Storm. Here, alongside a mix of moody, heads-down techno, twisty breaks and daydreamy electro for the Recognise mix series, the Melbourne DJ tells Michael McKinney about the route he’s taken to get to where he is today, and the depth of feeling that’s guided him along the way
