Matrefakt are Tony and Zac, a Liverpool house and techno duo built on a raw, groove-heavy analogue sound. They earned their name the hard way, through dancefloor weapons and a sharp ear for underground music. Their sets move freely from deep, driving house to high-energy acid and breaks. In the studio, the pair have released on some of the most respected labels in electronic music. Highlights include three records on Peggy Gou ‘s GUDU , plus outings on Mella Dee ‘s Warehouse Music , Gerd Janson ‘s Running Back and Pete Tong ‘s Three Six Zero . In 2019 they launched their own label, Attitudes To Life (ATL) . Since then, it has released music from the duo alongside Denis Sulta and Dekmantel regular San Proper . Their tracks get steady support from big names such as Skream, Marco Carola, Busy P, Solomun, Radio Slave, Laurent Garnier, Anja Schneider and Groove Armada , as well as BBC Radio 1
